2-Day Lake Duluti Adventure

Start with pickup in Arusha or Tengeru around 7:30–8:00 am and a short drive to Lake Duluti. Enjoy a guided canoe or kayak outing for approximately 1.5–2 hours, with life jackets and basic instruction. Look for birdlife, monitor lizards and monkeys, with mountain views when conditions allow. Follow with a guided forest walk of around 1–1.5 hours. In the afternoon, visit a nearby coffee plantation to learn about cultivation, processing and roasting, and taste fresh Tanzanian coffee. Allow around 6–8 hours for the day’s activities.

Begin around 7:30–8:00 am with a guided mountain-bike ride from the lake. Cycle through villages such as Patandi, Mavinuni and Akheri, with stops at farms and viewpoints. The ride takes around 3–5 hours including stops, with some hills and mixed paths. An optional visit to Mangalia Waterfall offers time for photographs and a swim. Visit a local brewery to learn about traditional banana beer, with optional tasting for adults. Return to the lake or Arusha by mid-to-late afternoon. Allow around 6–8 hours in total.
