8-Day Kenya Safari

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. You will depart Nairobi and drive north towards Samburu, enjoying the changing scenery as you travel through the central highlands and into Kenya's northern region. Upon arrival at Samburu Simba Lodge, you will check in and enjoy lunch. After a short rest, you will proceed for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve, exploring the beautiful landscape and searching for the unique northern wildlife found in this region, including Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, as well as elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and many other species. After an early breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Your professional safari guide will explore different areas of the reserve according to wildlife movements and recent sightings. The Ewaso Nyiro River is an important water source and attracts a wide variety of wildlife. You will have opportunities to see elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and Samburu's unique northern species. A picnic lunch can be arranged during the game drive, allowing you to maximize your time inside the reserve. You will continue exploring throughout the afternoon before returning to Samburu Simba Lodge for dinner and your second overnight stay. After breakfast, you will check out and depart Samburu for Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the Laikipia region. Upon arrival, you will check in at Sweetwaters Serena Camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will proceed for a game drive inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and important populations of black and white rhinos. Ol Pejeta is particularly renowned for its wildlife conservation and rhino protection programs. After the afternoon game drive, you will return to Sweetwaters for dinner and your overnight stay. After breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in Ol Pejeta before checking out and continuing towards Lake Nakuru. The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley before arriving in Nakuru for lunch and check-in at your selected accommodation. In the afternoon, you will proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, lions and diverse birdlife. Depending on the season and water conditions, you may also see flamingos around the lake. After the game drive, you will return to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Lion Hill for dinner and your overnight stay. Overnight: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Lion Hill Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, you will check out and depart Lake Nakuru for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley and Narok before continuing towards the Mara. Upon arrival, you will check in at Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge and enjoy lunch. After a short rest, you will proceed for your first afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara. You will explore the vast savannah plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other wildlife. After an early breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara. The morning provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, and your guide will explore different areas according to animal movements and recent sightings. You will have the opportunity to search for the Big Five and experience the incredible variety of wildlife found throughout the reserve. A picnic lunch can be arranged in the reserve, allowing you to spend most of the day on safari. The afternoon will be dedicated to further exploration before returning to Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and your second overnight stay. Your third day in the Masai Mara allows you to explore the reserve at a relaxed pace. After breakfast, you will set out for another full-day game drive, visiting different areas of the Mara and looking for wildlife that you may not have encountered during the previous days. Having three nights in the Mara provides greater flexibility to follow wildlife activity and spend more time observing animal behavior. Lunch can be taken at the lodge or enjoyed as a picnic during the game drive, depending on the day's plan. After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara before checking out. This final drive provides one last opportunity to experience the wildlife and beautiful scenery of the reserve. You will then begin your journey back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way depending on your schedule.
